ABO (Burger. C. J. J. Jones). City Coins November 2007

Christiaan Jones of the Krugersdorp Commando fought in all the early Natal battles (Dundee, Platrand/Wagon Hill, Spion Kop) until he was taken PoW at Pieter’s Hill on 27 Feb 1900 just before the Relief of Ladysmith.

Sold with copies of Vorm “B”, PoW Register (Prisoner No 112) and ZAR Government Gazette of 7 March 1900, confirming his capture.
