ABO (Korpl. H.J. Joubert)

Hendrik Joubert, 19 years old, served as Corporal of Ward 3, Krugersdorp Commando, when he was taken prisoner at Beestekraal. Prior to that he had seen extensive action from the beginning of hostilities, viz at Dundee, Colenso, Spioenkop, Ladysmith, Fourteen Streams, Donkerhoek (Diamond Hill), Dalmanutha, Nooitgedacht, etc.

He was sent to Bermuda (PoW No 24818) and only came home in November 1902.
