Copy of his form B shows that he lived at the Grand Hotel Delareyville..
His rank he gives as Commandant. He fought with the Police Johannesburg. He joined up on the 25th September 1899 until he was taken POW 30/9/1900. His Officer was Commandant Van Dam. He fought in Natal and Colesburg. His application for the DTD was not approved.
There is a very interesting letter. Juddel returned his medal saying that his rank was commandant. He says futher that he was personally appointed Commandant of the English Prisoner of war Camp. He says that he met with President Kruger at Machadadorp. There is an official letter from the District Staff Officer No 8 Military District. He says that Commandant Van Dam has confirmed that Lt Juddel was appointed as Commandant of the Prisoner of War Camp. His rank was Lieutenant not Commandant. Pease note there is no mention anywhere that the Prison Camp was the Model School.
