Good day, I am looking for information on my great grandfather Burgert Adriaan Naude that died 11 December 1999 at Magersfontein. He was from Hoopstad the farm Kameeldoorn.
I would appreciate any information

benmica94,

If you contact Rhino Research in South Africa ([email protected]), they will be able to search for his ABO forms which will give you some biographical information. If this is him, there will definitely be a form.

benmica94,
you can see something of the fate of the rest of the Naudé family, and the Ras family (also bywoners on the farm Kameeldoorn) by searching the concentration camp records here www2.lib.uct.ac.za/mss/bccd/Farm/26264/C...oorn___Kameeldoorns/
You will read about little Sarah Maria Naudé who died in the notorious Bloemfontein concentration camp. Altogether, 19 children named Naudé died in the Bloemfontein concentration camp.

You can also find information on the Anglo-Boer War Museum database; I suggest searching by Naude and by Kameeldoorn and you'll see overlapping information.

The past is not dead. In fact, it's not even past.
