Taken P.O.W. 1901 and sent to Bermuda. Fought at Derde Poort, Warmbad and Koedoesrand. He states on the Vorm B that he was adjutant to Komdant J.C. Stoffberg. There is a letter from HQ to Mnr D.S. Van der Westhuizen asking for clarification of his Rank. There follows an explanation that a number of Burgers were used to take messages to the Veldkornetts. Naude was one of them.
