Confirmed with Vorm B Mathys Wynan Pretorius fought with the Hoopstad Kdo. Taken P.O.W. 27 Februaty 1900 at Paardeberg. Fought at Modderiver, Magersfontein. The vorm is signed and completed by his widow. He died of fever in the POW Camp 5 June 1900. There is a statement in Afrikaans by H.W.I. Ras knew the deceased very well and was with him when he died in the Camp. Attested by Kapt ….. Medal issued 18 April 1922. Type 1 suspender type 2 naming.
