SDB Offline Fresh recruit Posts: 6 Thank you received: 2	According to his death notice he passed on in action 1 April 1902 ( www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3Q9M...=en&i=859&cc=2520237 ) and according to the Anglo Boer war museum he passed on 1 April 1901 ( wmbr.org.za/burger-sterftes/2582-prinslo...-petrus-nicolaas-38/ ) Hopefully someone can give some clear answer to this.

Kommandant Joachim Petrus Nikolaas Prinsloo died on April 30, 1902 (Die Boere Offisiere 1899-1902, Malan 1990) or April 31, 1902 (Onze Krijgs-Officieren, Volksstem publication 1904) during a heated battle at Verkleum-kop (“numbingly cold crest”) in the Heidelberg District. During the same battle VC van Niekerk (Bethal commando), VC J.Herman (Pretoria Commando) and 30 Burgers also lost their lives.

Geni is a secondary source. I work on WikiTree and all my work I prove with primary sources. I have his death notice.Everyone is missing the point here: His ABW record stated his DOD as 01/04/1901 ( wmbr.org.za/burger-sterftes/2582-prinslo...-petrus-nicolaas-38/ ) His DN stated 01/04/1902. We have to find a primary record from the records. Then this soource: web.archive.org/web/20090824034824/http:...rijgs-Officieren.pdf give his DOD as 31 April 1902. Now 3 x different dates. Whish is correct?
