ABO (Korporaal J.A. Prinsloo). City Coins August 2008

Served in the Vrede Commando from October 1899 up to the conclusion of peace. Initially they saw action in Natal (Ladysmith vicinity), and then withdrew to the Free State. He was present at the famous action at Tafelkop (20 Dec 1901) when Lt.Col Damant’s column was routed and Shoeing-Smith Ind, RHA, was awarded the VC.
