ABO (Burger G.J.J. Rossouw). City Coins 66 September 2015

Gabriel Johannes Jeremias Rossouw, Gen. Cronje Commando. Present at first battle of the Boer War Kraaipan 12 October 1899; 27 February 1900 captured at Paardeberg. Taken to Simon’s Town camp (Bellevue) (PoW No. 1881). The first prisoners were accommodated in Bellevue on 28 February 1900 and returned home after end of war 1902.
