ABO (Veldkornet G. J. J. Scheepers). Ciry Coins Dec 2004.

Gerhardus Jacobus Johannes Scheepers served with the Boksburg Commando under Gen. P. R. Viljoen and Gen. H.A. Alberts of Heidelberg from 1900 to 1902.
He laid down arms on 5th June 1902 at Kraal Station near Heidelberg under Gen. Botha.

He saw action at Ladysmith, Colenso, Spionkop, Bronkhorstspruit and Bakenlaagte.
