ABO (Burger G.M. Strydom). City Coins August 2010.

When he applied for his ABO medal in 1941, Gerhardus Strydom described himself as a “Colonial Rebel' in the Vryburg Commando. He was in action at the first skirmish of the Boer War (Armoured Train: Kraaipan, 12 Oct 1899) and served for the duration of the war.
