Thanks to this forum, I became the custodian of one of the very few ABO medals to women. Nurse Cornelia Rosina Visser served in the Molopo Hospital in Mafeking and was there during the Relief, when their Field Hospital came under fire. She later contracted Malaria and was hospitalized at Lichtenburg. Does anyone on this forum know of the existence of and whereabouts of any other ABO's to women?

That is a very nice medal.

I have only seen a few ABOs to women. I don;t know how many have survived from the few issued. I can check how many were issued.

Do you by any chance recall the names of the ones you have seen? I'm trying to figure how many of the 20 odd issued are known to still exist.
