Military Cross GVR (Kapt S.I. Visser 3/6/1919) (engraved); ABO (Burger S.I. Visser); 1914/15 Star (Lt S.I. Visser Potch Kdo); War Medal (Kapt S.I. Visser); Bilingual Victory Medal (Kapt S.I. Visser )

He served in the Potchefstroom Commando and was wounded in a landmine explosion in the Karabib 2 May 1915.
