Boyd-WilsonA BMajorNatal 1906 (1). He served with the Soudan Field Force 1885-6 and was present with the 19th Foot at the Battle of Ginnis. Served in the Boer War with Thorneycrofts M.I. and took part in the Battles of Colenso, Spion Kop, Vaal Krantz, Pieters Hill, Allemans Nek and the Relief of Ladysmith. He was attached to the S.A.C. 1901 and to Remount Depot 1901 to the end of the war. Was second in command of the Natal Rangers in 1906 which he assisted to raise and equip, and with them served through the Zulu Rebellion of 1906 being present at the action of Mame Gorge.

Originally from Mauritius and was in Estcourt late 19th Century and may have been living with his aunts. After the Boer War, he arrived in Australia sometime 1905-1907. Arriving in Australia on the SS Atlantic with Australians being repatriated from drought ravaged South Africa, although he had never been here before. He joined the Australian Flying Corp serving time in France and stationed in the UK 1914 - 1918, returning to Australia and died 1944.
