COWWARR. – A complimentary social was held at Cowwarr in the Mechanics’ Hall on Wednesday evening to welcome back home Trooper John BROADFOOT, who has Just returned, alter seeing much active service in South Africa. The social was largely attended, the local company of Rangers, with their commanding officer, Major Irvine, being present. Mr. G. Wood presented Trooper BROADFOOT with a gold chain and locket, the latter bearing, a suitable inscription.

ROSEDALE. — Private BROADFOOT, recently returned from South Africa, was tendered a complimentary banquet at Cowwarr, and was presented with a gold chain and locket.
