Honour to Volunteer.
Private John SMITH, who is one of the Black Watch volunteers now under orders for the front, was the recipient of a testimonial yesterday afternoon. Smith was an employee of Messrs George Anderson & Co., Taymouth Engineering Works, and at the dinner-hour he was met by his fellow-workmen, when, in their name, Mr Charles Wade presented him with a handsome watch chain and appendage containing an inscription recording the occasion. Private Smith made a suitable reply.
