Although Sister Lang's medal was formerly in the Upfill-Brown / Hibbard Collection, the inscription does not specify what this award was for. These medals may not have been specifically for ABW service. While Sister Donian appears on the QSA medal roll for Johannesburg Hospital, Sister Lang does not.
Both known medals were presented in May (1900 & 1902). It is possible that these were annual awards.
