KANGAROO FLAT.
At the meeting of the Olive Branch Tent I.O.R. this week, Corporal J.P. FOX was presented with a gold medal in token of the regard felt for him and as a congratulation for his safe return home from the Transvaal war. Bro. W.A. Johnston, C.R., made the presentation. Bro. FOX very nicely responded, thanking the members, and stating that he hoped to ever prove worthy of it.

KANGAROO FLAT, Friday June 28.
The half-yearly meeting of Olive Branch Tent, I.O.R., was held recently, presided over by Bro. W.A. Johnston, C.R. There was a big attendance. The election of officers for next term resulted: — Bros. W.A. Johnston, P.C.R.; A. Johansen, C.R.; J.P. Fox, D.R.; E.G. Yeates, secretary; J.M. Okey, treasurer; A. McPherson, W.S.; A. Adams, M.S.; B. Semmens, levite; R.J. Beatty, guardian; W. Anderson and R. Stevenson, auditors. The balance-shoot was submitted at the ordinary meeting this week, and was highly satisfactory. The funds amount to £554 12s 9d, and members 89, an increase of three for the quarter. At this meeting a cordial welcome was extended to Bro. Sergeant S.E. COURTIER from the war, and Bro. Johansen, C.R., on behalf of the tent presented him with a gold medal of very neat design, suitably inscribed. Bro. COURTIER feelingly responded, and thanked the members for their kind and practical expression of goodwill and congratulation. He hoped he would always be worthy of their esteem. Several of the members made allusion to the good service that Bro. S.E. COURTIER had done, and whilst away had received promotion.

PRESENTATION.
At the fortnightly, meeting of the Olive Branch Tent. I.O.R., which was held in the Temperance Hall, Kangaroo Fiat, last evening, the Chief Ruler, Bro. A. Johansen, welcomed back Bro. R. BROWNING, of the Imperial Australian Regiment, from the war in South Africa, and on behalf of the members, presented him with a handsome gold medal as a token of their esteem and regard. The remarks of the chairman were cordially endorsed by those present.
