KANGAROO FLAT, Wed., April 25.
There was quite an enthusiastic crowd at the station this evening to bid adieu to Mr R.F. BROWNING, who is off with the Bushmen’s Contingent to South Africa. This is the fourth representative from the township who has been selected. Last evening at a social gathering of the Fire Brigade and friends he was made the recipient of a splendid gold locket. Mr J.M. Okey, captain of the Fire Brigade, made the presentation, and several expressed cordial sentiments, wishing him a successful and honourable military career.
