LINTON.
A welcome-home was accorded Sergeant Don BLURTON and Trooper M.H. ROBERTS, of this township, on Tuesday night. A torchlight procession was formed by the local fire brigade, and afterwards a crowded public meeting was held in the Shire Hall. Councillor Kennedy, president of Grenville Shire, presided, and presented the returned soldiers with gold war medals, suitably inscribed. Sergeant BLURTON and Trooper ROBERTS each gave a very interesting account of his experiences in South Africa, and the programme was filled in by songs and recitations.
