WELCOMES HOME.
On Monday an enthusiastic welcome home was given to Trooper W.A. GOODSIR, of the Fifth Contingent, by the members and congregation of the Carlton Congregational Church. The minister (Rev. F. Warner) presided, and welcomed Trooper GOODSIR back again. The school hall was decorated with bunting and flowers, and there was a large attendance. During the evening Mr Webb, president of the gymnastic club, presented Trooper GOODSIR with a handsome gold medal from his fellow-members of the club. Patriotic songs and recitations were rendered, after which refreshments were handed round.
