MOSS VALE, Wednesday.
A number of the residents met today at the Royal Hotel, the occasion being a welcome home and presentation to Lieutenant ZOUCH, of the Bushmen's Contingent. The Mayor, Alderman E. Aland, presided, and expressed the pleasure it gave him to see Lieutenant ZOUCH back, after doing so well in South Africa. He asked the officer to accept a gold pendant as a small token of the esteem in which he was held in Moss Vale. Mr A.D. Badgery said that he had known Lieutenant ZOUCH for a number of years, and always found him a man. He congratulated him on the way he had fought the battles of his country. Dr Stevenson expressed the pleasure it gave him to see Lieutenant ZOUCH home again, and said he had proved himself a brave man and a good soldier. The health of Lieutenant ZOUCH was drunk with musical honours. Lieutenant ZOUCH, in responding, said he could not express his feelings for the kind words and honour done him. He went to South Africa to do his duty, and hoped he had done it.
