Last night about sixty employees of Mr John Perry, timber merchant, met at Richardson's Hotel, Bourke street, to tender a welcome home to Mr E. McCLELLAND [sic], one of their late fellow-workmen, who returned from South Africa with the Fifth Contingent. Mr Thomas Ashworth occupied the chair, and several of those present favoured the company with musical and other Items. During the evening Mr G.H.
