Mr C. PACEY, a well-known Newtown businessman, is leaving with the New South Wales contingent, as a member of the Army Medical Corps. He is a member of the Newtown Bicycle Club, which assembled to the number of nearly 70, at Herrmann’s Hall, on the Enmore Road, on Monday evening, for the purpose of giving him a send-off. Mr PACEY's health was cordially proposed and acknowledged, and hearty wishes were expressed for his safe return. In the course of the evening Mr Morris, vice-president of the bicycle club, on behalf of the members, presented Mr PACEY with a gold medal as a mark of their esteem. The proceedings were of a most enthusiastic character.
