STAWELL. — By the Adelaide express on Wednesday night, Sergeant-Major W. HERBERT, Sergeant M. ROSS, Farrier-Sergeant W. SEABORNE, Lance-Sergeant J. GOODWIN, Corporals A. SMART and WYATT and Trooper CHANNINGS, of the Fifth Victorian Contingent, returned to Stawell, and received an enthusiastic welcome from a large crowd assembled at the railway station, and the A Company Rangers, under Captain Akins, and the Stawell Brass Band. Amidst cheering they were escorted to a stand in the station yard, where Captain Akins, on behalf of the Rangers and the residents, welcomed them home.
