WARREN, Friday.
A smoke concert was tendered Lieutenant ANTILL, Sergeant SEALE, Corporal ANTILL, and Corporal FREEMAN yesterday, the Mayor presiding. Three gold medals from the townspeople were presented.Sydney Daily Telegraph, 3rd June 1901
WARREN, Saturday.
A welcome in the form of a smoke concert was tendered to Lieut. S.R. ANTILL, Sergeants A.J. ANTILL and M.H. SEALE, and Private B. SCARD, members of the Australian forces recently returned from active service in South Africa. The toast of the returned soldiers was enthusiastically honoured, and each guest was presented with a gold medal, suitably inscribed. Lieutenant ANTILL, in responding, gave an interesting sketch of the work done by his regiment, Including a graphic account of the siege of Elands River.
