Can any forummers provide the forenames of the following participants in the ABW?
There will be others, but here's a start:

Reverend AP Burger, NGK, Middleburg
Lieutenant Colonel BD Möller, Talana.
burger EJ Weeber, who wrote a book "Op in the Natalse front..." in 1940

Hi Rob

This maybe your man?
His middle name was Dupdale.

His middle name was Drysdale - see bottom but one entry in left hand column in attachment.

Born Plymouth Jan 1854, died Leamington Nov 1918. He makes an appearance in a well researched public family tree on Ancestry - so could supply further info about his life if wanted.

David.

Thanks, gents! It's for the book I'm translating. The style in respectful 1960s Afrikaans was to call people by initials and surname e.g. "Pres. M.T. Steyn". In 2020s English the custom is "Pres. Marthinus Steyn"etc.
Now, there are some notables, esp. Boers, I can't find the forename of...

David
Thank you for the correction of the middle name.
I thought I was cracking up and my predictive text was on overdrive.
It was one of those pesky Ancestry edits.

Thanks again for the clarification and getting it right.

Best wishes
