What is the name of your Chaplain. There is not much information on Chaplains on the site but we will see what we can do.

Many thanks for the welcome to this magnificent site! The Chaplain medal I wrote about is named to Rev CF Toplas, C to F and is named with engraved naming. It have three bars, Cape Colony, Orange Free State and Transvaal. Regards Jan

I had a look in WO100/235 for this fellow and could not find him, there was a Rev C F Tobias and a search on ancestry did not show a Toplas in the Army Chaplain's Dept either!

Had another look at the medal! In my short time collecting, I have't handled a lot of engraved medals. The Chaplains medal is to C F Tobias and not to Toplas. Do you perhaps more info on him?
