There is one man named James Vaughan who has service papers available at the National Archives or via FindMyPast.

He is:

VAUGHAN, James. Born 1879 in Rochdale, Lancashire

Could that be him?

David

Hi Kelly

David has kindly provided the details of each and every J Vaughan who saw service in the Boer War and qualified for a medal.

We need more from you or your relatives in order to track him down.

Regards

Rory

I am trying to trace my son's great-grandfather.Jessop Arthur Grey Hulton. I want to find what medals and ribbons he had awarded for my son to have duplicates made.
He served with Captain Bassey's Sussex Company of Yeomanry in the Transvaal in 1900. In 2001 he was appointed Railway Transport Officer at Pretoria with the rank of Lieutenant.I believe that he returned to U K but later went to South Africa.

Hello Kevin and welcome to this forum,
A brief look at WO100 shows that Hulton was entitled to a Queens South Africa medal and clasps for the Cape Colony, Orange Free State, Diamond Hill and Johannesburg, in addition he also recieved a Kings South Africa medal with both clasps, South Africa 1901 and 1902.
Kind regards Frank
