While the first visit to Britain of Frank Fillis's Savage South Africa, in 1899, appears to have had no ABW connection, the 1900 visit was updated to include ABW references. This newspaper advertisement was for a three weel-long exhibition at the Broughton Rangers Northern Union (rugby league) ground in Salford. Now covered by housing, the Wheater's Field ground could supposedly hold 20,000 spectators.

"Genuine Boers." Really?
