I wonder if anyone can supply me with good quality images of these stereoviews:

Thank you Neville.

Sorry, yes it is amongst the others you kindly sent me. I have never seen the others though which are mostly of the Worcester’s. I often wonder exactly how many Boer War stereoviews there are.

Thank you I would appreciate you checking your collection.

Kind regards

Ian

Ian,

I have three complete sets here, one of 108 cards in 3 volumes, a second of 144 cards in 2 volumes, and a third of 288 cards in 4 volumes. No set is the same, meaning that the numbering is always different. This contrasts with the Kilburn and Keystone views which are numbered by image. Due to the haphazard system used by Underwood & Underwood a database of known cards cannot be created, which means we will never know how many steroviews they published.

I have now checked all three sets and, unfortunately, do not have the cards you are looking for.

Thank you Neville , I really do appreciate you looking through your large collection of stereoviews for me and for explaining how the different manufacturers worked.

I stumbled across the images on a stock image site and recognised that they will be useful to my Colesberg project.

Maybe another forum member might have one or two in their collection. I’ll keep an eye out for them on EBay too.

Thanks again
