What was your best or most interesting find of 2013.....

I have to say that the best is the following badge..... I had one over 25 years ago but had to sell it for obvious reasons and have been looking for one ever since......

A very good topic to post
I am always envious (in a nice way!) of your "treasure" finds and this piece was no exception.
I have been fortunate this year to add quite a lot to my ever growing collection so it has been difficult to pick favourites.
I think the most interesting find was a near complete set of The Times History of the Boer War (Link here) www.angloboerwar.com/forum/13-miscellany...mendations?start=186
They are superb reference books and I use them all the time, the added bonus was the price
The best find has to be this frame with miniature portraits I acquired of David.B. at the Wakefield fair in October, it has pride of place within my collection.Post 14556

My most interesting acquisition this year I suspect was a QSA to the Imperial Yeomanry and 1906 Natal pair to a Sgt in the Natal Telegraph Corps.Might not sound to exciting but the NTC were a rather small unit (40 odd) and is the first medal I have that is in some way related to my profession (telecoms).

That certainly ticks the most interesting box. I imagine telecoms in those days was quite a difficult business given the terrain, distances, newness of the technology ...
