A most unusual plaque, what is it actually made from?

Bernice,

Does this mean you are travelling around the North East/East coast?
Is St.Mary's the Church at the top of the steps?

It does look odd, I agree. I wonder if the 12th Royal Lancers had similar plaques for all their ABW fatalities? As to what it's made from, all I can answer is some sort of metal which has become a little discoloured in places, especially in the lower two corners. The wall seems to have been replastered around the plaque (it's in the church porch).

UKNIWM simply describes it as "metal." www.ukniwm.org.uk/server/show/conMemoria...8/fromUkniwmSearch/1

I quite like it, it's still anice thing, notwithstanding the first appearance.
