Some modern-day photos. It's actually the memorial for The King's Liverpool Regiment rather than a general war memorial. I've posted only the South Africa War-specific parts of the memorial but the rest (Afghanistan and Burma) can be added if anyone thinks that they should be.

Below "South Africa 1899-1902" are some tiny inscribed words.

I wonder if it's ever been transcribed?

Most of the flagpole has been lost.

At the rear, either side of the drummer, is "Defence Of Ladysmith"
