Good Morning Everyone.....

Just a few pictures from the inside of the Regimental Museum..... Was going to take more pictures but museum is under renovations......

Richardson winning his VC and it is an actual horse from the regimental riding troop that has been stuffed......

Unable to get a name off the medal but the material it is mounted on is the mans original tunic, the bars are SA01 / Natal / OFS / Belfast in the order they were rec'd.....

Just came home from working there as a volunteer.....

It is the 2nd Largest Military Museum in Canada, primarily the 4 regiments that served in Calgary and their predecessors, also there is a Naval Museum and an Air Force Museum.....

A large research center and Library, a number of museums and other locations that have closed down all sent their books to this new Military library.....

If you are ever in town let me know come and visit and I will take you behind the scenes.....

I've been there! It was superb but there was so much to see I didn't have time to take it all in which is why I missed Lord Strathcona's Horse Museum. Going there was the highlight of my visit to Calgary and I'll definitely go back if I'm in Calgary again.
