This New Zealand example must have left quite a hole in the senders coat as it measures 36 x 29 cms. The photo with it is presumably the sender.

I was hoping you would have something to bring to the party, and I am not disappointed..!!
The khaki cloths are superb, especially the New Zealand example. The Diyatalawa card is also a lovely piece.


Mike, thank you for posting the two links. Yes, I too had assumed for many years that the Scottish tins were Christmas gifts, but further research shows that the distribution was actually made during July/August 1900.

My Devon Regiment tin is a little faded (the red has turned to pale pink). Despite this it is a nice clean example.
