Steve & Paul - Wow & Wow and very many thanks as I have eleven 2nd Worcesters in my Smethwickian database. Comparing the sign off of the senders were they one and the same? Amongst my eleven I have a William Mallin but he did not have a sister Lily or a cousin Edie (? Edith). Interesting that there is no mention of their darkest hour during the "First Period" during which two of "my" eleven were KIA but perhaps not surprising as it was a Christmas Card. The "engagement" is however shown on the map. Also interesting to see that when peace was declared, like many an Imperial soldier, they were blockhouse boys. Regards and many thanks again, David.
