I am trying to find information relating to the 2nd Battalion Royal Scots and when and where they served in the Second Anglo Boer War. From information my father provided I believe my grandfather was in Mafeking. The information on the regiment on the website only mentions the 1st battalion and not the 2nd. I would be grateful if anyone can provide any information on the 2nd battalion?

Their 2nd Battalion actually served in South Africa during the Anglo Boer War?
Really?
I always thought they were on the sub continent.
