Having gone this far, someone tell me where I can find additional pages of the ‘Gram’. I’d like to accumulate more of Frankland's images or even the whole issue to round out the contributions of Hofmeyr’s, Rosslyn’s, and Frankland’s narratives.

Well done finding the WWI pilot's certificate photograph. I see he learned to fly just before WWI (certificate dated 5 Nov 1913).

I’ve kept you guys on this thread for far longer than I anticipated four months ago. I really appreciate all the data you’ve turned me on to. It’s been a gold mine. Just when I think we’ve done as much as possible; something else comes up and off we go again.

Thanks also for looking into Frankland’s pictures. I don’t mean to impose any more than I already do and I’m happy to do the work if you can tell me what program you use.

I have put the two "portraits" through the software I have available, and unfortunately only got a 32 percent match.
This certainly isn't a definitive "no", as the Churchill photo is very blurred and pixilated, but it clearly leans in the direction of a mismatch.

To the eye, I would say the aero-certificate photo depicts a man with a longer, thinner face (and longer nose) than the chap standing next to Churchill, though I see what you mean about the downturned smile.
