The only method I know of is natural ageing which I realise does not provide the answer you need.

Indeed. Another irritating habit of an admittedly small number of dealers is to highlight "papers state deceased", intimating that the recipient died on service. Well, no actually. When a man eligible for a pension left the army his service papers became his pension papers. When the pensioner died, usually in old age, the Ministry of Pensions stamped his papers 'deceased' and closed his file.
