Recently I visited the Bergendal monument in the former Eastern Transvaal.
Interestingly, in the main area there are 3 memorials to Burghers and the centre piece is to the ZARPS.
The Rifle Brigade memorial is to one side.

I'm glad that you appreciate it, it makes it worthwhile.

I suspect the Rifle Brigade memorial may be older and the main part erected at a later stage; The ZARPs being recognised for their heroic stand.

I don't suppose that you have a sharper image of the Bergendal Monument? I have just picked up a single QSA with Laings Nek & Belfast to a 2nd Battalion Rifle Brigade, KIA at Bergendal, 9806 Parke.

The Belfast clasp would be for Bergendal.
