Many thanks to those who have assisted me so far - I am making slow progress with grandfather's story (Stephen Midgley). I have prepared a summary of his life for the Maryborough Military and Colonial Museum in Queensland - they are the current guardians of grandfather's medals and other memorabilia. The summary is available at:

Greetings Trev. Stephen here. What is BPB? I am unfamiliar with the acronym. I am making slow but steady progress with grandfather's story. regards. Stephen

Stephen - the link you give above takes one to all 33 pages of your excellent biography.

Rather late in the day here is a clearer listing of the members of the PLH who attended the 1902 Coronation (findable on Ancestry):

Your grandfather also served in the Bushveldt Carbineers & Royston's Horse - according to contemporary newspaper articles neither were represented at the 1902 Coronation and they cannot be found listed in WO100/111 on Ancestry.
