Attempting to find more information regarding this coin, and one Private R. B. Suner of the St. Andrew's College Cadet Corps.

Presuming he was between 14 and 17 years old in 1894, he may well have gone on to fight in the Boer War.

Finding reference to the surname Suner quite sparse. Presuming it could be Suñer or some variation thereof.

I was able to find a photograph of Sir George Cory, who lectured in physics and chemistry at St. Andrew's College in 1894, wearing the St Andrew's College Cadet Corps uniform.

Have determined that this is Private R.B. Saner, that is Reginald Blaine Saner.
Born 28 April 1874 and died 12 January 1945.

Based on his gravestone, former Colonel of the Union Defence Force. He served in Anglo-Boer War, Great War and World War 2.

Son of Captain Charles Taylor Saner, and brother of Captain Hubert Evelyn Saner.
