Very very nice Mike, I particullary like the ornate scroll at the bottom of the plaque, a quality item.

Okay then, thats cool, you bought it from a London dealer back then, now I am not so  I would have been, if you found it in Canada, just wish it had been me, but, it is one of the finest examples of it's type that I have ever seen, moreover, I have seen several, I do love that label on the back, superb, really superb, actually I am still really    !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good Afternoon Frank.....

I do not know if you have heard of or seen a book called:

BOER WAR MEMORABILIA - The Collectors' Guide, written by Peter Oosthuizen
Published 1987, I.S.B.N. 0-946619-19-0

The author Peter Oosthuizen used to have a store in the Georgian Village, Camden Passage, London called The Boer War Store...... He used to have tons of items there of all different kinds..... I was in the UK in 1998 and visited the store many times, went back in 2000 and was told he had passed away......

My suggestion that if you are a serious Boer War collector his book is a MUST in your library..... Copies do show up on ebay occasionally.......

One thing that he had in his store that I was sick about and he would not tell me where he got it from, and I could not afford, was the artists model for the Mounted Boer War Memorial that was erected here in Calgary.....
