This one at DNW is estimated at £3,500-£4,000. We'll see!

QSA, reverse with dates in relief ‘1899 1900’, (4) CC OFS, Belf, SA01 (635 Pte. C. C. Malet, Ld. Strathcona’s H:) inverted apostrophe as normal.

Cuthbert Chamberlain Malet was born at Basford, Nottinghamshire, in 1879, son of John Thomas and Elizabeth Hill Malet. He died at Singapore on 2 July 1944, aged 65, and is commemorated on the Commonwealth War Graves Commission roll of Civilian War Dead.

DNW's stand at the Convention yesterday included a few medals including a single 3 clasp QSA with Natal, Belfast and SA01 (if I recall correctly). Innocuous enough until it was turned over to reveal it had raised dates! I asked if this was the one from last week's auction, only to be told it was another one that had just come in and that it would be auctioned shortly.

What was the name on this one..... Was he on the list of existing medals..... Wonder if it will go as high as the first one......
