I have acquired a QSA/WWI trio to a Lt. R.S. Rigg. Reginald Shaw Rigg was a Subaltern with the Royal Lancasters who, according to reports, came out to SA just prior to the cessation of the Boer War..

I am not yet in possession of the medals and can thus not verify the naming on the QSA. I can't find a medal roll wherein he appears - can someone please help.

The attached photos are from the auction site.

Regards

Rory

I don't have the medal roll; however Services of Officers has "RIGG, R.S. (Hon. Lt. in Army: late vols). S.African War 1901-2 - operations in the Transvaal Jun 01 to May 02. Operations in Cape Colony April 01. Queen's Medal with four clasps".
Should you proceed, you will be in the same hunt as IL for date clasps!

Rory,

Reginald Shaw Rigg passed away in 1963 in the Transvaal, was married to Ethel Maud Rigg (born Marshal) who died in 1954.

There are a few other refs for him.

It is him Adrian that's why I bought the group :cheer: B) !

He was the partner in a law firm with General Beyers who came out on the Boer side during the 1914 Rebellion...

He was also very involved in litigation with Mohatma Ghandi.

I know all this but would like to verify his entitlement on a medal roll which is proving elusive.

Regards and thanks
