The four DMT QSAs sold for a largely uniform price yesterday.

There was a lot more variety in the Town Guard Medals

In WO100/285 between pages 92 and 93a is a hand-written note relating the the Stellenbosch Town Guard
Not entitled to any Medal. They were only called out for four days viz 10th to 13th November 1901
Not included in the original list of Town Guards 68/SA/6349
Medal rolls submitted in triplicate are in jacket 68/SA/8483.
Some 84 medals were issued to the Stellenbosch DMT.

Hi David, yes, I've just checked my records - I'd never seen that before. Do you think that's why there was I high no. of returns?
I would have said that even if they were only active for 4 days they'd be entitled to something.

The roll for the Modder River DMT lists just 3 names and 2 of these medals were returned. Has anyone come across the QSA to Trooper C F J Kotze?
