There is a large number of QSAs to the RAMC in the next C&T Auction, from lot 24 onwards.

QSA (3) Cape Colony, Transvaal and Wittebergen (MAJOR J.W. JEROME R.A.M.C.)

John William Jerome was born in Colaba , Bombay on 11th November 1856. Educated at King’s College he took the diplomas of MRCS Eng and LSA in 1880 and joined the Army Medical Services as a Surgeon in 1882. Promoted to Surgeon-Major in 1894 he was made Lieutenant-Colonel in February 1902 and retired on 15th October 1902. He died in Norwood, London on 9th September 1912.

Description says medal and all 3 clasps confirmed on the medal roll.

WO 100/219 Confirms the Cape Colony clasp.
Two rolls for 12803 Bugler Wallbank. Cape Colony confirmed with additional note for clasps 1901 and 1902. Dated 14th February 1903 War Office.
You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough.

QSA (5) Cape Colony, Orange Free State, Transvaal, South Africa 1901, South Africa 1902 (15333 PTE. W. R ALLEN R.A.M.C.), unofficial rivet between Transvaal and South Africa 1901 clasps.

Walter Ralph Allen from Brighton, Sussex arrested for the Royal Army Medical Corps at the age of 20 on 22nd March 1901. He served for 1 year and 123 days in South Africa and was discharged on 22nd August 1902.

C&T says the Medal and all 5 clasps are confirmed on the medal roll.

QSA (5) Cape Colony, Orange Free State, Transvaal, South Africa 1901, South Africa 1902, (14870 PTE. W. MATTHEWS R.A.M.C.) unofficial rivets between Orange Free States clasp and Transvaal clasp.
[ 1914 Star trio ]

Walter Matthews is confirmed on the roll compiled at No.8 Field Hospital at Bloemfontein and is entitled to these 5 clasps. He also served in the Great War with 4th Field Ambulance.
