Warwick and Warwick state he died of disease 13th of May 1902 in Elandsfontein.

Two men of this name appear to have been casualties:



Both men are listed as deceased on WO100/252p276.

Warwick and Warwick do not explain how they know which W Smith this is. Unexpectedly, there are no other men with exactly this name on the roll.
