851 Trooper F.H.Sherman confirmed on nominal roll of Natal Carbineers. Served 11 December 1899 to 09 October 1900. Also recorded on nominal roll of French's Scouts as RQMS Frank Henry Sherman; Attested 01 February 1901; Discharged 07 May 1902.

P P Lang served with the Natal Carbineers during the Boer War from 29 September 1899 to 31 May 1902.

If memory serves, Lang is also entitled to a KSA by virtue of his service with the NVCR.

What a memory!

KSA (2) on 100/363p143.

His KSA was sold by Spink in October 1999 for £46 so perhaps a re-unite for someone?

There were 3 Langs in the Carbineers and in Ladysmith. RA Lang had identical service to PP Lang in the NC and VCR, earning the same entitlement, but WA Lang went to the FID and earned his KSA there.

Liverpool Medals are offering the Natal (0) Medal to Trooper H R Mercer for £195.

There is a 959 Trooper H Mercer on the Boer War rolls for the NCs.
